Co-Dream: Material

The project is an exploration of knitted materials based on computer cognition. The imperfect AI is implanted into the knitting machine to produce a new knitting form that overturns the traditional concept of knitting.

The project consists of two processes: planar and three-dimensional. The planar part is constructed by machine learning results built from knitting database. The three-dimensional part is built by the depth map referenced by the substitution function in C4D. In fact, if further learning of the complete knitting structure is desired, a depth map database is built for machine learning. The virtual materials are color sourced from graphs with machine cognitive emotional ambience.
